When I pulled this one off of my media card, it begged for black and white. The old car, the train tracks, the last burst of light in the sky before sunset, and the overgrowth.  The lines and the way your eye move around the picture seemed to me to be the stars, not the color.

It could be ageless.  It could have been taken today or thirty years ago.

I think it’s fast becoming one of my favorites.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. It looks like it was taken from O Brother Where Art Thou. 🙂

Except that the time period of ‘O Brother Where Art Thou,’ I am fairly sure, predates that Studebaker and the signage in the background. But in general principle, yeah. It has that feel.

  3. It reminds me of the railroad tracks running about 2 miles inland following the coastline of the Gulf. After Katrina it was hewn down bare, but it’s coming back.

    Nice shot!
