My family often says I have my head in the clouds. In one sense, at least, they are right. Clouds have always fascinated me, and have been fascinating me lately. They build, they change, they move, sometimes quickly depending on prevailing winds.
When I was little, I thought that’s where angels stayed on their way between Heaven and Earth. Photographing clouds feels like prayer to me.
I can’t quite explain it myself, but this does:
“The original reason for art is the sacred — to be a portal, an access point for the sacred…In true art, the formless is shining through the form.” — Eckhart Tolle, Findhorn Retreat: Stillness Amidst the World, p. 29
