Friday Photos: In Celebration of Fall (a.k.a. Autumn)

This week, Autumn (colloquially known as Fall) began, my favorite season.  I love the cool crispness in the air, locally grown and harvested apples, baked squash of various varieties (brushed with butter and topped with brown sugar), the riot of warm colors as the leaves change, then fall…It’s always seemed a little bit like magic to me.  Accordingly, I’ve been snapping photos like mad of any little sign that it’s coming. (See above.)

As part of celebrating the Autumnal Equinox/Mabon, I went on a photo walk.  Here are a few of the highlights:

This sums up how I feel about this season:

“Delicious Autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive Autumns.” – George Eliot

Happy Fall, y’all!
